Administrative skills officer
Duration: 12 months,
Two
weeks training in Canada, orientation on the field and 11 months of
field work, with the option to applying for an extension.
Job Summary
The Administrative Skills Officer will work directly with the
administrative structure of the EBCM to:
- Identify
gaps in infrastructure, policies and procedures needed for a sound
administration will be identified and developed to the point of
approval by the church executive.
- The Skills
officer will also train the administrative staff in financial
procedures, assisting the church to keep accounts that will be adequate
for auditing purposes.
- Proposal writing and the
submission of at least one proposal for resourcing funds will be a part
of the process of building administrative skills.
- The Skills officer will design and train the church
executive in conflict resolution processes
Requirements and Qualifications
- The
successful intern will have prior knowledge of and experience in
administrative processes with emphasis on writing of policies,
procedures and proposals.
- A basic understanding of financial processes and the
ability to communicate these is needed.
- The
intern must have previous experience in skills and knowledge transfer,
and must possess flexibility, a willingness to learn, and an ability to
adapt to cross-cultural situations.
- Candidate must agree with, and be committed to EIC's
mandate and policies.
